Naming of Variables

For this particular Likert Scale, the name of variables are listed in the Variable View tab. The variables are divided into two parts, which are demographic variables and items variables.

The demographic variables as are listed below

• Age of respondents is labelled as "AGE"
• Sex of respondents is labelled as "SEX"
• The Month of Birth of respondents as "MOB"
• The Year of Birth of respondents as "YOB"

For the name of items, since there are two different scales were used, therefore the names are also different. For the Social Support Scale items, the name of each items are labelled as "SS1" to "SS12" (12 items). For the second scale, The Emotional Contagion Scale, the name of each items are labelled as "EC1" to "EC15" (15 items)
